At the first Automotive Magnesium Technology Research Meeting of 2008 held on October 24, 2008, our company president, Gentaro Gonda, gave a lecture on the practicality of magnesium alloy AZ61 sheet.
The practicality of the material was also compared with magnesium alloy AZ31 plate and aluminum alloy A5052 plate, and the results of the evaluation, which was conducted from four points of view - pressability, machinability and dimensional stability, corrosion resistance and surface treatment, and weldability - were explained, and participants were able to look at various samples.
We believe that the practicality of magnesium alloy AZ61 sheet was fully recognized, and we will use the useful questions we received at the event to help us in the future.
