Magnesium alloy forgings

In addition to rolled sheets, we also develop die-forged products. Using our own proprietary manufacturing method, we have achieved die-forging of magnesium alloys, which are difficult to process.

Forged material

We are currently producing die-forged prototypes of various alloys, and are also able to forge similar materials.
Die forging from ingots
AZ31, AZ61, AZ91, AM60
Forged from commercially available ingots or slabs. Suitable for large and medium-sized forged products. The forged structure is dense and has increased tensile strength.
Die forging from cast plate
AZ61 etc.
Forged from cast plates using our in-house twin-roll casting method, this is suitable for thin-walled shapes and small forged products. The dense cast structure allows for forming with large forging pressure ratios and stretch ratios.

Features of forged products

 
Compared to die-cast products, the crystal grains are finer, there are no internal defects, and it is possible to create molded products with tensile strength equivalent to that of rolled sheets.
 
Compared to pressing products from plates, it is possible to create complex molded products with high boss shapes and uneven surfaces.
 
Since the material is forged directly, the process can be omitted.
